Hours that must be included
- Ethics: 6 hours
- Trauma counseling: 4 hours
- LGBTQ cultural competency: 2 hoursD.C. Law 21-95 (LGBTQ Cultural Competency Continuing Education Amendment Act of 2016).
Limits
- In-service education programs (employer in-house training): at most 10 hoursAt most 5 credits a year (§ 6613.4).
- Individual professional activities (§ 6611.6: presenting, writing, supervision, leadership, program development): at most 20 hoursAt most half the requirement; supervision ≤10, leadership ≤10, program development ≤8, dissertation ≤18, practice-related programs ≤8.
