Confirm measures the quarter by months left in the period; the Board renewal notice states your number.First period: 75% (22.5 hours) if the license was received in the first quarter of the period, 50% (15 hours) in the second, 25% (7.5 hours) in the third, none in the last (258 CMR 31.03(3)). A first term runs at least 24 months (258 CMR 9.08), so this usually means the full 30.
Licenses expire on the licensee's birthday every two years; the first term runs at least 24 months from issue to the birthday after that (258 CMR 9.08).

Limits
- Individual activities approved by the Board (presenting, publishing, research): at most 15 hoursAt most half the required hours; request Board approval in writing at least 60 days before the period ends (258 CMR 31.04(4)).
