From the Board's CE Proration Chart for the 2024–2025 period; the Board's renewal notice states your number.Prorated per the Board chart: 1.75 hours for each counted month (calendar months from the month of licensure to December 31 of the odd year, less two). Licensed January of the even year: 38.5 hours; July: 28 hours; January of the odd year: 17.5 hours; from November of the odd year: none.
Reporting periods end December 31 of odd-numbered years.
Hours that must be included
- Ethical and professional studies: 3 hoursFirst renewal: issued January–August of an odd year → 1.5 hours; issued September–December of an odd year → 0 hours; otherwise 3 hours.
- Cultural competency: 4 hoursFirst renewal: issued January–August of an odd year → 2 hours; issued September–December of an odd year → 0 hours; otherwise 4 hours.Minn. Stat. 148B.31(b): serving clients from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.
Limits
- Publication (writing or publishing): at most 40 hoursBook ≤40, chapter or article ≤20; teaching and presenting count once per course or subject.
