Total hours
- 40 hours (after the first renewal)

Renew every two years by the last day of your birth month.
Hours that must be included
- Ethics: 6 hours
- Cultural competency: 6 hours
- Suicide risk assessment, treatment and management: 2 hours
Limits
- Workplace in-service training (employer in-house training): at most 20 hoursUp to half of the required total.
- Study groups (peer consultation group, independent study or reading): at most 20 hoursUp to half of the required total.
- Supervising students (supervising others): at most 12 hoursUp to 6 hours a year.
- Up to 10 hours carry over to the next cycleUp to 10 general CE hours carry over.
