- 45 hours (first renewal)First renewal: under 12 months licensed → 23 hours; under 18 months licensed → 30 hours; otherwise 45 hours.First renewal: 23 hours if licensed under 12 months of the period, 30 hours if 12–18 months, 45 hours if 18 months or more; the four two-hour topics still apply (12 AAC 19.310).
Cycle ends December 31 of even years.

- Professional ethics: 2 hours
- Addictions: 2 hours
- Cross-cultural education: 2 hours
- Domestic violence issues: 2 hours
Limits
- Self-study / non-interactive hours (self-study): at most 22 hoursIndividual study programs capped at one half of the required hours.
- First-time preparation and presentation of a course or workshop: at most 10 hours
- First-time presentation or publication of an article or chapter: at most 10 hours
