- Ethics: 6 hours
- Competency with a distinct population: 3 hours
- Technology-assisted services (if providing telehealth): 2 hoursOnly for licensees providing telehealth.

- Half the hours from a §801.261(f) providerAt least 15 of the 30 hours from a qualifying provider type.
Reporting your hours
The Texas State Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapists (BHEC) uses CE Broker. The board requires it. Since January 1, 2026 the Behavioral Health Executive Council requires all licensees to report CE in CE Broker before they can renew. The Basic account is free. Confirm keeps your own record and certificates; it does not report to the board for you.

Courses must come from a provider the board approves or recognizes. Recognized: State board, AAMFT, NBCC, APA, NASW, AMA, ANCC.
